Michael E. Benedict

Michael E. Benedict graduated from Binghamton University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and continued his education at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, where he obtained his Juris Doctor. While in attendance at SUNY Buffalo, Mr. Benedict interned with the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the Environmental Department, which is responsible for the prosecution and enforcement of the State’s Environmental Code. Mr. Benedict was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2005, and thereafter, joined the firm of Seaman, Jones, Hogan & Brooks, LLP Mr. Benedict is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Niagara County Bar Association and Lockport Bar Association.

Mr. Benedict practices primarily in the area of criminal law and is a member of the office of the Niagara County Public Defender. Mr. Benedict handles all levels of criminal matters, ranging from Misdemeanor charges to Felony matters. In addition to criminal matters, Mr. Benedict handles Vehicle and Traffic matters, ranging from speeding tickets and equipment violations to Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. Benedict also practices Family law, including matrimonial, child support, custody, family offenses and juvenile delinquency.
